What a Whitehaven Beach scenic flight is
A scenic flight shows you the beach the way the photographs do. From above, the white
sand and the blue channels of Hill Inlet make a swirl that changes with every tide. You
cannot see that pattern from the sand, and only part of it from the lookout.
You have a choice of aircraft. A small plane flies for one hour and does not land. A
helicopter flies over the reef and lands on the beach for about 90 minutes. The fly-raft
package puts the one-hour flight in front of a full day on an ocean raft.
